It’s a nice way to tidy a cluttered workspace, and if you use it while the Finder is the active application, then you’ll see only the Desktop, and any open Finder windows (which can be closed, or Exposéed out of the way). Select a desktop picture from one of the available categories: Dynamic Desktop: These pictures change gradually throughout the course of the day based on your current location. Hold them for about 20 seconds, and you’ll see the Apple logo come up again. Hot Corners is found under the Desktop & Screen Saver>Screen Saver section of System Preferences. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Wallpaper in the sidebar. Shut down your Mac, then turn it on and immediately hold down the Command, Option, P, and R keys. Another very handy way to temporarily expose the desktop is Hot Corners.
